Doug was appointed Global CEO of Proximity Worldwide in December 2017 after 24 years at the helm of Barefoot Proximity, the Cincinnati agency he founded in 1993.
He led Barefoot through the acquisition by BBDO in 2008 and has held key network roles including leadership in Digital Innovation, which involved spending three years stationed in Barcelona.
Altogether, Doug has over 30 years of CPG experience, and spent the first 5 years of his early career working client side on P&G's finance development, before moving on to brand management and then embarking on a copywriter career.
He offers a rare mixture of both left and right brain thinking and his broad showcase of accolades spans winning National Addy Awards for his copywriting through to being named an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
Doug now leverages this diverse background to help lead Proximity Worldwide into its next phase of evolution as a contemporary CRM network.
